Mayor Dave Cieslewicz and Governor Blagojevich: Dictators from the Old Country
Last night I watched channel 3 news. I go to Gary Cannalte for the real deal on the weather. The guy is obsessed with it and I can plan drives home to my mother in Shullsburg and beat bad conditions with his report.
Case and Point: Most of us gathered at Mom's on 12/20/08 (saturday) on Cannalte's forecast i was able to make it home by 2:00 p.m. and leave my 4:00 p.m. even being able to take in 3 plungers from "joe the plumber" be turned into Star War weapons instantaneously by the youngest nephews and the youngest niece.
People like to say , "She doesn't learn" Not true, getting caught in the blizzard of December 2007 makes me watch Cannalte's report when my driving conditions are needed. He can predict 2 days in advance.
So, I planned to drive to Mom 's today and I needed to know. I gave up movie time to take in the news and well they had on Mayor Dave. Channel 3 was the Channel 3 I remember in the 1970's when Tedd O'Connel was on and they questioned. My morality and questioning was influenced by Channel 3 pre 1980's.
So I was in shock when they questioned Mayor Dave Cieslewicz about his disregard for Brenda Konkel and folks when you disrespect Brenda Konkel you are disrespecting those of us who vote for her because we know she is our voice for truth and justice. She has the questions of a visionary.
You attack her, you attack us.
So Channel 3 is talking about the possible interventions to save the Overture Center. I am listening. Really, I don t have a clue. I know I don t trust Mayor Dave our dear old garbage Czar. Czar is the key word i am inspired by the way Ghost and others around my place recycle and keep garbage quanity low by eating whole foods.
I was merely being informed and I thought, "Well, I don t know enough about this I will read what Paul Soglin has to say."
No, I don t read Soglin's blog all of the time. But today I did to find out what he said because he loves Madision.
He was my favorite Wisconsin Politician from 3rd grade on. Channel 3 featured him. I saw his interview with Fidel Castro when I was in 6th grade.
I was simply shocked and encouraged when at the end of this interview Mayor Dave was asked about his seeking out 3 people to run against Brenda Konkel.
Poor Dave he assumed those 3 people had his oppotunistic ego and wouldn t tell.
This is the guy who used Brenda Konkel, and no i don t know her, to get elected the first time.
He used the think tank that lives in her district; most of these people care about the issues. They live with congruency sure you have the poseurs but there are brilliant people in her district that sacrifice greed and power for the sake of the common good.
So Mayor Dave used her to get elected. He put her on tv ads endorsing him. And i bet now she wishes that she would have endorsed Soglin. Don t feel bad I feel bad that I didn t vote for Soglin I was so pissed off about being stocked and that these investigators went to him that I felt betrayed by a hero.
I didn t like this Dave guy. Sue Bauman said in her exit interview that Dave C promotes Dave C.
Soglin will piss you off but he 's like the people in my family, you argue with him, you tell him you think he's wrong and you make the peace in the end.
Konkel and I both made mistakes because Dave C lied and represented change, we all long for.
When Soglin lost i put on my blog, YOU NEED TO START WRITING.
NO, i don t think he started his blog because I wrote that. But I was right. He needed to start writing for his own heart for the city's life.
Mayor Dave showed signs of what a sell out he is. He apologized through a staff person by having her say that he is so funny he's not like those serious environmentalists.
He thinks he's funny. He thought he was so funny talking about the Farmer's Market and how he likes to pay more for a tomato and how his parents from the old country ask him, "Bring us some of that lesbian cheese."
Unless u is a lesbian, don't make jokes about them. Those two women he mocked are farmers not lesbian cheese makers.
And the real sell out that he is happened early on in his administration when the tobacco free bars passed in Madison and he showed up a few weeks after he became mayor at the Nitty Gritty which was where Paul Soglin had his party the night he lost to Smooth Dave. That showing of Mayor Dave was the first step in his dumping the very people he used to win the election against Soglin without convincing Konkel s area to vote for him Mayor Dave didn t have a chance against Soglin.
And so with tears in his eyes, Soglin said to Channel 3 the night he lost, "I love Madison."
And even though my own issues with him I thought "Oh, my god, we made a mistake."
And boy did we ever.
So Mayor Dave dumped Brenda Konkel to get the money folk behind him on the West Side and I have to wonder if the real intent is to dump her so he as Garbage Czar can get money under the table ??????????????? Is that it? Does she question too much?
Oh, Smooth Dave was good, when the papers came in Soglin's wife cooked him chicken parmigian or something like that and well Mayor Dave was featured cooking.
He knew that would suck women in on Konkel's side of town.
Listen this is man who wants a Trolley for the city and yet he never rides the bus, he lives over there in the Franklin Street area off of University around Midvale, easy ride on the bus, but the guy doesn t even ride the city bus.
Let's not call him Joe Biden who rode the train every day from Delaware to D.C.
The next big attack on Brenda Konkel came with his condescending lie, "Ah you gotta love Brenda Konkel"
His language is that of a patriarch. He and Blagojevich should join forces and go back to the old country and practice their imperative language there.
Call his office, I did last night to complain about him and his answering machine will speak to you in the imperative, "Make it a great day?"
Why? I have seen really bad counselors tell clients "Make it a great day." And the "dumb" client isn't suppose to know that the "sophisticated' counselor is saying, "It's up to you"
Well, Dave yesterday i chose to have a really shitty day. I told Ghost through the floor when he wasn t even home from work, "I am feeling sorry for myself and i am perfectly fine with that choice."
Make my day and find somebody to run against him.
So I looked up Soglin today here's what he said on the overture center. His plan is the exact opposite of the Mayor who is seeking republican votes.

I told him on the message last night, I am against it too. I said, "I am happy for the business owners but I am against the way you have it."
You see our Garbage Czar is a black and white thinker, he's calculated and visionaries aren't prepared for an opportunist thinker. Sue Bauman saw him for what he is. A huge ego. If we would have found a way to keep the businesses safe and as Soglin said reap in all of that free national advertisement of madison and called it a Halloween Festival we could have been win win now we are one win not two wins.
He's afraid of questions that Brenda Konkel is elected to ask for those of us she represents.
So really folks he hates us not Brenda Konkel.

Brenda Konel cites on her blog that the Mayor is beginning to blog. Ha ! A california former Clarke Student gave me this blog before there were even a million live journals. Mat Gleason of Coagula gave it to me back when he had to pay. I dreaded it because I was so stalked all of the time. But then it worked, it saved my life.
Do you think since now that he got a blog that Mayor Dave will learn how to ride public transportation since he 's so for it ????
